Shaggy Scalycap Mushroom Specimen Terrarium (Large)
Wild harvested shaggy scalycap (Pholiota squarrosa) mushrooms, dried and made as a display specimen for the curiosity collector or mycophagist. Cleverly named after their appearance, shaggy scalycap appears at the bases of old trees - these ones were ethically sourced in the mountains of Southern Colorado. They appear to be growing right out of a wasp nest! An old, rusted shoe nail rests beside them as another item of forgotten time.
These are preserved in a large specimen jar, which is about 4.5” tall with a 2.25” diameter base.
These are a one of a kind product and designed individually.
