Heart, beauty, love and fertility. Happiness, gentleness and protection. Hawthorn has been well known in love magic from many Celtic cultures and has been present in a vast amount more since the 3rd century or earlier. A superstitious tree, one belonging to faeries (like it’s sister, the Blackthorn), Hawthorn has been considered an entrance into the next world. These pendants are wonderful for a wearer that is looking to imbibe in romance, but also those in need of protection and defense, as this tree has masculine fire energy.
This hand carved pendant is derived from hawthorn branches that were gathered on Beltane and emblazoned with the ogham aicme (letter) for Huath.
